I have over 20 years in Web Development and have done every aspect of design, creation, buildouts and wrote the copy for hundreds of websites over the years. I was tasked at a job 20 years ago to research and learn how Search Engines like Yahoo and Alta Vista (at that time) listed websites. Google came about that same time and I learned what was needed in order to get that site to show up in their search results. Search Engine Optimization was the name coined about this time and I quickly learned all I could. I got my bosses site to number one and began optimizing all clients that came after.
