Most Excel work that eats your time is one of three things: the file is messy, there are too many files, or you do the same steps every week. All three can be a script.
What I do:
Merge dozens of Excel or CSV files into one clean table
Remove duplicates, fix inconsistent dates, split or combine columns
Compare two files and report what changed
Turn raw exports into a summary sheet
Filter by your rules and split into separate files
I work in Python with pandas and openpyxl. You get the script itself, not just the finished file, so you can run it again next month without ordering again.
Messy input is fine. Machine exports, instrument logs, files where the header sits on row 7 and the unit is stuck in the same cell as the number. That is normal, I have dealt with it.
How it goes: send a sample file and tell me what the result should look like. I will give you a price and tell you if it is doable before you order. If it is outside what I can do well, I will say so.
Your files stay private and I delete them after delivery. If the data is sensitive, send an anonymized sample.

Do I need to know Python to use the script?
No. I can package it so it runs on a double-click. You put your files in a folder, run it, and the output appears. If you do know Python, the source code is included in every package.
What if my files are messy or badly formatted?
That is the normal case, not the exception. Headers in the wrong row, merged cells, mixed date formats, numbers stored as text, units inside the same cell. Send a sample and I will tell you what is possible.
Can I send you a sample before ordering?
Please do. Message me with a sample file and a short description of what the result should look like. I will confirm the scope and price before you place the order.
My data is confidential. Can we still work?
Yes. Send an anonymized or partial sample instead of the real data. The script works the same way as long as the structure matches. I delete all files after delivery.
What if the script does not work on my files later?
If it breaks on the same type of file we agreed on, I will fix it within the revision included in your package. If your file structure changes completely, that is a new job and I will quote it separately.
