Private Tutor | English, Japanese, Mathematics & Science I have over one year of experience as a private tutor, working with approximately 50 students ranging from elementary school to high school. I provided one-on-one instruction in English, Japanese, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. My responsibilities included teaching, grading assignments and tests, checking homework, correcting students’ writing, answering questions, and helping students prepare for exams. I also worked with students to create realistic study and review plans based on their individual needs. One of my greatest strengths as a tutor is my ability to understand learning from the student’s perspective. When a student struggles, I do not simply repeat the same explanation. I take the time to identify exactly where their understanding breaks down and why they are having difficulty. I adjust my explanations and teaching methods according to each student’s level, learning style, and concerns, and I continue supporting them until they genuinely understand the material. This experience has developed my patience, communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex information clearly and effectively. Through tutoring, I learned that effective communication is not just about giving correct information—it is about understanding the other person and finding the clearest way to help them understand.
