Six years building, fixing and automating the technical side of small businesses, remote, for clients in the US, UK, Europe and beyond. What I do day to day: - Development: custom web apps, WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, pricing and quote calculators, product configurators, booking and lead capture tools, REST API integrations, Stripe and PayPal payments. Plain PHP, JavaScript and Python instead of stacking plugins. - Automation: Python scripts and bots, content and data pipelines, scheduled jobs, AI-assisted workflows that remove manual work. - Servers: Linux VPS setup and hardening, site migrations, Docker, Nginx and Apache, SSL, DNS and Cloudflare, backups, monitoring, speed optimisation. - Email and marketing: SMTP setup, deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), transactional and marketing email automation, tracking with GA4 and GTM, technical SEO. - Rescue: sites down, critical errors, broken updates, hacked, slow or locked-out sites. How I work: backup before I touch anything, root cause explained in plain English, source files handed over so nothing stays locked to me.
