Liquidity Forecasting and Analytics Intern

I interned on a wealth management team supporting 10 to 12 advisors. A big part of my role was building the reports, market updates, and portfolio reviews the team relied on, and I wrote macros that automated turning raw data into those client-facing reports so they came together in a fraction of the time. I also did a lot of research and organizing of client financial and account information to support the team's planning work.

I worked on Scotiabank's Treasury team as a forecasting and analytics intern. Most of my time was spent working on models in Excel, VBA, and Python, and writing VBA macros that automated data extraction and model updates, including one that cut a recurring task from about two hours down to ten minutes. I also cleaned and maintained large datasets in Excel and SQL that fed into Power BI dashboards, and tracked daily metrics that were reported up to senior management.
