Eight years at Boeing as a Quality Specialist, auditing processes for FAA compliance and writing the documentation that had to hold up when an auditor came looking. Before that, shop foreman in the US Army over a 70+ vehicle fleet.
Most SOPs fail because they are written by someone who already knows the job, so the automatic steps never reach the page. I write for the person who does not know yet: clear scope, numbered steps, defined responsibilities, exceptions spelled out.
I also do bookkeeping for small businesses and nonprofits, focused on grant tracking and fund accounting.
