What is Google Consent Mode v2?
Google Consent Mode v2 allows Google tags to adjust their behaviour according to a visitor’s consent choices. It uses consent signals including analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.
Do I need a cookie banner or CMP?
Yes. Consent Mode communicates the visitor’s selection to Google tags, but it does not collect consent by itself. Your website needs a compatible cookie banner or Consent Management Platform. I can configure an existing CMP or install one when included in your package.
Will this make my website GDPR compliant?
No technical installation can guarantee legal compliance. I will implement Consent Mode v2 and your selected CMP according to the agreed technical configuration, but I do not provide legal advice. Your privacy professional should approve your banner wording, cookie categories and consent requirement
Which platforms and consent tools do you support?
I work with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify and many custom websites. I can integrate compatible platforms such as Cookiebot, CookieYes, Complianz, Iubenda and OneTrust. Please contact me first if you use a custom CMP or website platform.
Do I need to share my Google password?
No. You should never share your Google password. You can grant temporary user access to Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads. Access can be removed or reduced after the project is completed.
