Yes, both stores require a developer account to publish. Apple's costs $99/year; Google Play is a one-time $25 fee. I can walk you through setting these up if you don't have them yet.
What if my app uses a backend or database?
No problem. As long as your backend is accessible via API or URL, the Capacitor app will connect to it exactly as your web app does. I'll make sure all endpoints work correctly on mobile.
