FAQ
Why do I need a Service Agreement?
A service agreement is a 'contract' between you and your client about the support you provide. It gives both parties some guidelines around on things like cancellations, notice periods, rights, responsibilities, support costs and other important things.
What is a Schedule of Supports?
A Schedule of Supports is added to the Service Agreement. It outlines specific details of the support you both agree will be provided. It includes times, dates, duration, frequency and cost of supports and the associated costs. It can also act as a 'quote' for how much the total support will cost.
Why do I need an Invoice?
You NEED an invoice to get paid for providing support. Invoices MUST include a line item code from the NDIS Price Guide and itemized list of what each item costs. Invoices usually include more than 1 line item, as you can bill for more than just the the time you support your client for.
Why would I need a Report or Support Summary?
You may be asked to write document outlining details of your services and how it relates to the client's NDIS goals. This can be used to track client progress or justify asking for funding during their next Planning Meeting. The document may be reviewed and influence decisions about their workers.
Can't I just start working with my client without documents?
Yes you can, but it's risky. You don't technically need a Service Agreement or other documents but that opens you up to potential legal issues, complaints, allegations and no framework for how you support your client. I've seen first hand the things that can happen, but it's up to you. Let me help.
Why do you charge so much?
I charge the prices I do, because it reflects the value I provide and the amount of work required to provide you with high quality documents that are NDIA compliant and it saves you time and headaches. I have also helped workers get paid (ave.) 25-30% more just by providing information. Ask me how!
What makes you qualified to help me?
I've worked in the NDIS industry for over 5 years. I've worked as a Support Worker and have worked with the NDIS closely. I've been an NDIS Team Leader responsible for support documents and billing. I also work as a freelance NDIS consultant to independent workers. If you have questions please ask.
What do I need to get started?
I will need to arrange a brief phone consult with you to discuss details of your support. You will need the Start + End Time of Support, Days of Support, Start Date, Client Plan Dates, Client NDIS Number, Client Name & Contact Details, Name of Plan Manager, Your Name, Contact Details & ABN.
