FAQ
Can you maintain my WordPress website without changing its design?
Yes. Routine maintenance can usually be performed without redesigning your website. I'll focus on the agreed tasks, such as updates, backup work, and functionality checks, and avoid unrelated design changes. If an update may affect your layout or features, I'll flag the risk before proceeding.
Can you back up my website before making changes?
Yes, where your hosting setup and available access permit it. I'll check the available backup options and clarify whether the task includes creating a new backup of the website files and database. Backup availability and successful restoration are different things, so restoration should be verified.
What if a WordPress update breaks my website?
I'll investigate the affected functionality and assess possible causes, such as plugin or theme incompatibility. If a suitable backup or rollback method is available, we can discuss the safest recovery approach. Extensive recovery work may require a separate quote.
Can you fix WordPress errors, broken pages, or plugin conflicts?
Yes, I can investigate common errors, broken layouts, and plugin conflicts within my technical capabilities. Please share the error message, affected URL, and what changed before the issue started. I'll assess the scope before confirming the appropriate fix.
Do you offer monthly WordPress maintenance?
Yes. Monthly maintenance can cover agreed tasks such as updates, backup checks, security reviews, and functionality testing. The schedule, included tasks, response times, and limits should be agreed upon before ordering so you know exactly what your subscription covers.
Can you help if my website has been hacked or infected with malware?
I can assess the symptoms and discuss possible next steps. A compromised website may need containment, malware investigation, clean backups, credential changes, and specialist recovery work. Please contact me first so I can confirm whether the incident is within my service capabilities before you or
What access do you need, and how do you protect my website?
Access depends on the task. WordPress administrator access may be sufficient for routine updates, while backups or hosting-level problems may require additional permissions. Use a secure, agreed method to share the minimum necessary access, and revoke temporary access when the work is complete.
