I help authors prepare fiction and nonfiction manuscripts for publication through proofreading, line editing, beta reading, constructive feedback, and basic Amazon KDP book formatting. My work focuses on improving clarity, readability, and reader engagement while preserving each author’s voice, message, and creative vision. I understand that publishing a book takes time, effort, and investment. A manuscript with grammar errors, repetitive wording, unclear sentences, weak pacing, or inconsistent details can distract readers and affect their overall experience. My goal is to help authors identify and correct those issues before publication. In editing and proofreading, I review grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, word choice, repetition, clarity, consistency, and readability. I work carefully to improve flow without changing the author’s meaning or rewriting their work unnecessarily. I use Microsoft Word and can provide organized files with tracked changes or corrections, depending on the project. In beta reading, I read manuscripts from the perspective of the target reader. I provide honest feedback on plot clarity, pacing, character connection, dialogue, emotional impact, genre expectations, and overall story enjoyment. I help authors understand what is working, what may confuse readers, and where the story could be stronger. I especially enjoy working with fantasy, romance, thriller, and cozy mystery novels. I also work with Christian books, devotionals, memoirs, self-help books, business books, guides, and other nonfiction manuscripts. I understand the importance of clear communication, confidentiality, deadlines, and delivering useful feedback that authors can apply with confidence. My goal is to help authors publish books that are polished, engaging, and enjoyable for their readers.
