With 20 years of experience in Systems/Cloud engineering & and security, especially Unix/Linux/BSD and hosting/Cloud industry, I am here to offer the following:
- Troubleshooting and fixing issues with Linux/BSD/AIX servers, like system and configuration errors, services & and protocols problems ( Bind, Apache, Nginx, MYSQL, EXIM, FTP, SSL, SSH, HApoxy, etc...), Any cPanel/Plesk/Cloudlinux related issue.
- Sysops service on GCP, AWS or any cloud provider.
- Check server's security issues, analyze and provide vulnerability reports, fix spam issues, clean malware from Linux servers and applications on the server (ex: Wordpress) and harden the systems.
- Harden your server using IDS, HIDS, WebApplication Firewall (custom modsec rules), Brutal force protection, and firewall.
- Consultation and recommendation on security hardening, system planning, server performance, application performance (with APM software like NewRelic) and cloud architecture.
- I work with any Linux and BSD distribution, control panels and with most major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP and Oracle Cloud

Can you fix X problem in my Webserver/cPanel/Linux server/Website etc..?
I commonly fix: -Apache/Nginx errors (like 5xx, 4xx errors), configurations errors, failure to start and resources related issues. -MYSQL and PHP problems, fix boot problems, fix corrupted MYSQL DBs, services failed to start
Can you work with X system?
I can work with RHEL (Like Centos), Ubuntu server, openSUSE, Debian, Cloudlinux and almost all Linux distributions. Also IBM AIX Unix, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, pfSense firewall. Virtualization: KVM, VSphere, Citrix XEN, Proxmox, LXC, Vagrant, Docker and BSD Jails.
What Security improvement or hardening can you do for my Webserver?
1- WebApplication firewall using ModSec with updated rules from major providers that can help detect and prevent Web attacks like SQL injections. 2- Different malware scanners. 3- Hardening the .htaccess. 4- Recommendation when asked on suitable services for Security/DDOS/WAF/CDN/Malware cleaning.
What Security improvement or hardening can you do for the whole server?
-Firewall configuration, Brute force, port scan protection -Block common attackers, spammers' IPs from accessing the server. - Vulnr - GeoBlocking, reverse proxy and WAF (like Cloudflare) configurations. -Implement Host-based Intrusion Detection System (which hardens the system against rootkits).
Are you avaiable for long-term work?
No, I am afraid not, I work full-time at a cloud provider.
