Why do I need CEPH?
The main advantage of Ceph is that it provides interfaces for multiple storage types within a single cluster, eliminating the need for multiple storage solutions or any specialised hardware, thus reducing management overheads.
What kind of hardware do I need to provide for a Ceph cluster?
You need a minimum of 3 servers (physical or virtual). For best performance, I highly recommend a fast network (10GbE or faster) and a mix of fast SSDs (for Ceph's metadata) and larger HDDs/SSDs for data storage. We can discuss your specific hardware before starting.
I've heard Ceph can be complex to manage. Do you offer ongoing support?
