Accountant and Bookkeeper at a UK-based accounting firm, supporting 15-20 monthly bookkeeping clients. What I handled: • Day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and AP/AR on Xero and VT Transaction+ • Preparation of 5+ VAT returns every month • 20+ payroll runs every month, with payroll records kept up to date in Xero, VT, and Excel • Annual accounts and self assessment returns Key results: • Xero migration cleanup: a client’s books had duplicate bills, pending payables, double payments, and a Xero balance that didn’t match the bank. I cleaned it all up, reconciled the bank, and brought the bookkeeping fully up to date. I also spotted a VAT return filed with the wrong rate and a missed bill, and prepared the correction. • Short-term rental accounts: Airbnb income had been treated incorrectly, so profit was hard to determine. I worked out profit and VAT, corrected the accounts, and built a reusable model that makes the client’s ongoing accounts easier. Tools: Xero, VT Transaction+, QuickBooks Online (certified), Excel
