FAQ
1. What is book formatting?
Book formatting is the process of organizing text and visual elements to create a readable, and professional layout for print. It includes book size, margins, typography, alignment, chapter structure, headers, footers, and layout consistency.
2. How long does it take to format a book?
The turnaround time depends on the book length and formatting complexity. Elements like images, tables, or custom layouts may extend the timeline. Revisions are also considered when estimating delivery.
3. Can I use the final files to publish on Amazon or other platforms?
Yes! Depending on your package and choice, you will receive final files ready for print or eBook, fully compatible with Amazon KDP and other self-publishing platforms.
4. Which software is used for book formatting?
The book is formatted using Adobe InDesign, a professional industry-standard software that allows precise control over typography and layout, ensuring high-quality, print-ready results.
5. Which file formats will I receive at final delivery?
You will receive the final files in the appropriate format based on your choice: print-ready PDF for printed books or eBook formats (such as EPUB or KPF) for digital publishing, including compatibility with Amazon KDP and other platforms.
6. How do revisions work?
Revisions include layout adjustments such as spacing, alignment, or font changes. The number of revisions and allowed changes depend on the selected package. Content rewriting or major layout changes are not included.
7. Do I need to provide images or illustrations?
Yes. If your book includes images, illustrations, or decorative elements, you must provide them in print-ready format and resolution. This ensures proper quality and avoids delays.
8. Can I edit the book content after the formatting is completed?
Yes. You may request content edits after the formatting is completed. Fees may apply depending on the type and number of changes requested. As another option, you may choose to receive the Adobe InDesign file and make any edits you wish.
