Correzione dei bug per l'e-commerce

Ecommerce bug fixing is the process of finding and repairing technical errors on an online store, such as broken checkout flows, payment failures, or display glitches. A freelancer diagnoses the issue in the store's code, theme, or plugin setup, then applies a fix without disrupting the rest of the site. On Fiverr, ecommerce bug fixing covers stores built on WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, and Webflow.

Store owners often turn to this service when a sudden error starts blocking sales, like a cart that won't update or a payment gateway that throws errors at checkout. For businesses planning a full storefront instead, e-commerce website development is the better starting point.

Fiverr freelancers handle a wide range of ecommerce bugs, from checkout failures to visual glitches. Most issues fall into a few common categories:

1. Checkout and cart bugs, like items not saving or totals calculating incorrectly.
2. Payment gateway errors, including failed transactions or broken Stripe or PayPal integrations.
3. Plugin or app conflicts that break functionality after an update.
4. Mobile responsiveness issues, where pages display correctly on desktop but break on smaller screens.
5. Broken product pages, such as missing images or incorrect variant selectors.

A seller's gig description usually lists which of these issues they specialize in, so buyers can match the bug to the right expertise.

Ecommerce bug fixing repairs an existing store, while building a new store involves designing and coding a storefront from the ground up. A bug fix specialist works inside code and settings that already exist, isolating what broke and correcting it. A store builder starts with a blank setup and makes every structural decision from scratch.

The two skill sets often overlap, since developers who build stores also know how to troubleshoot them. But buyers with a functioning store that has one specific issue should look for maintenance and bug fixing gigs first, since that keeps the project scoped and the price lower than a full rebuild.

Based on typical Fiverr marketplace pricing patterns, ecommerce bug fixing projects generally range from about $50 to $400, depending on the complexity of the issue and the platform involved. Simple fixes, like a broken button or a display glitch, tend to sit at the lower end. Complex issues involving payment gateways or plugin conflicts across multiple pages cost more.

Many sellers offer tiered packages, so a Basic package might cover a single bug, while a Premium package includes a broader site audit and multiple fixes. Buyers should always confirm what's included before ordering, since scope varies a lot between sellers even at similar price points.

The price of an ecommerce bug fix depends mainly on how complex the issue is and how much investigation it takes to find the root cause. A single, clearly described bug costs less than a vague issue that requires the freelancer to audit the whole site first.

Other factors that influence price include the ecommerce platform involved, how many pages or features are affected, and turnaround time. Rush delivery usually costs more. If the fix overlaps with slow load times or performance issues, buyers may also want to look into website speed optimization alongside the bug fix itself.

The process starts with the buyer describing the bug, ideally with screenshots or a screen recording showing the error. The freelancer reviews the store, identifies the root cause, and confirms the scope and timeline before starting work. Once approved, they apply the fix in a test environment or staging copy when possible to avoid disrupting the live store.

Before any changes are made to a live store, it's worth confirming the seller works from a backup and migration copy of the site, since this protects the store if something goes wrong mid-fix. After the fix is live, most sellers test the affected feature and ask the buyer to confirm the issue is resolved.

Ecommerce bug fix specialists work across the major platforms used to run online stores, most commonly WordPress with WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, and Webflow. WooCommerce runs as a plugin on top of WordPress, so freelancers fixing WooCommerce bugs often need both WordPress and PHP knowledge alongside familiarity with the WooCommerce plugin itself.

On the coding side, specialists commonly work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, along with each platform's theme editor and app or plugin ecosystem. For Shopify development specifically, freelancers may also work inside Shopify's Liquid templating language to resolve theme-level bugs.

Common add-ons include a full site audit to catch additional bugs beyond the one reported, ongoing maintenance packages, and priority or rush delivery for urgent fixes. Some sellers also offer a short post-fix monitoring window to confirm the issue doesn't return.

What's usually not included is unrelated custom development work, like adding new features or redesigning pages, unless it's specifically scoped and priced separately. Buyers dealing with WordPress specifically can also browse WordPress bug fixing services if their store sits on that platform and needs broader theme or plugin troubleshooting beyond ecommerce features.
