A perfectly-conceived Chinese translation is what you are fine with. But what is its purpose? An effective purposeful Chinese translation is supposed to be woven with advanced digital marketing skill thinking, like SEO, to reach Chinese audience proactively; integrate plot, emotion, tone, rhythm, and style naturally so that readers have a whole sense at a glance; deliver meaningful experience, immersing readers in the scene with descriptive language, transporting readers to a different world. I feel it a responsibility to incorporate purposes in my translation. ... Continua a leggere

Over the past twenty years, I have been working as a mandarin Chinese translator to translate document online with extensive experience in video translation to translate en to Chinese. To translate English to China Chinese is a highly energetic work for me as in my eyes, every Chinese and English word is a living, breathing organism with its DNA. It is not a media for communication, it is a vessel that carries the weight of the entire civilization. There are its origin, background, history, meaning extension and borrowing through the history throughout the society, which are interwoven to form its special complicated personality. To a Mandarin Chinese translator, to translate en to Chinese using Chinese words flexibly is about who he or she is. In my Mandarin translation, I can think and express myself freely in my Chinese, constructing my fictional world, reaching my goals and purposes, based on an overall grasp of what the English source text conveys down to the "atom", including its semantic atom, tonal frequency, and the strategic intent, by "listening" to the heartbeat of the civilization that produced it. Nuanced meanings, subtle emotions and complex ideas or thoughts are somewhat challenging to a Mandarin Chinese translator, but are accurately expressed in my Chinese translation. In my experience as a Chinese language translator, every word I used was considered an entire civilization system transplanted in my Mandarin translation from the root, I used them flexibly for my expressive power. They carry all their meanings, functions, and impacts. A dictionary can not tell you who they are and where they come from. It will be like a song played in the wrong key when there is a slight misuse. Sophisticated, academic, or professional wording is considered higher level of Chinese translation. Elevated vocabularies are applied in my English to Mandarin localization and translation to give an elegant and precise expression.
