Site engineer on building projects in Dubai for China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Middle East Branch. Worked daily from AutoCAD drawing sets, specifications, method statements, material submittals and inspection requests, and handled communication between the Chinese site teams and English-speaking consultants, subcontractors and clients. This is where my technical translation work comes from. I read engineering drawings and construction specifications as an engineer, not only as a linguist, which is why construction, engineering and manufacturing documentation is the material I am strongest on.
