Business Insights Program - Partnered with McLaren

As a chosen participant for the Deloitte Business Insights programme, I had the opportunity to work with McLaren, helping them formulate a plan to become net-positive by 2030. As part of the course, we presented our planning and final solution to employees from McLaren Racing, Deloitte and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). I have attached the PowerPoint below, please take a look. As part of a six person team, to have more impact rather than just focusing on McLaren themselves, we proposed using McLaren to influence Formula 1 as a whole to change their race calendar and so reduce travel miles between races. This new calendar could be solved through the application of the travelling salesman method to find the route with the least travel miles. This solution would not only help reduce carbon emissions for each team but also promote McLaren as a leader of sustainability in F1 through publicity.
