As a junior dev on the team, I helped complete dev work on an existing Ruby on Rails website with a MySQL database backend, and eventually owned the launch process. As the team dev lead, I led the design, implementation, and launch of 3 major Ruby on Rails websites, as well as a huge feature set to one of these stacks written in pure Ruby and a full service stack written in Java. The websites used React and Javascript on the front-end to provide a more responsive experience. My favorite moments were helping Junior devs through tough problems, coming up with new test data standards which vastly simplified the team's workload and data security over the old standards, and developing a feature gating utility to improve feature release safety and feature satisfaction measurability.
