Work Experience – Graphic Designer (Book Cover Design Specialist) I worked as a Graphics Designer at Steve Publishing Company, where I was responsible for creating high-quality, market-ready book cover designs for a wide range of authors and publishing projects. My role focused primarily on designing visually compelling book covers that not only attract readers but also communicate the essence, tone, and message of each book effectively. During my time with Steve Publishing Company, I was deeply involved in the creative publishing process from concept development to final delivery. I worked closely with authors, editors, and the publishing team to understand each manuscript’s theme, target audience, and positioning in the market. This helped me create book covers that were not just visually appealing but also strategically aligned with the book’s genre and purpose. One of my core responsibilities was designing book covers for both fiction and nonfiction categories. For fiction works, such as romance, fantasy, mystery, and drama, I focused on emotional storytelling through visuals. I used color psychology, typography styles, and imagery that reflected mood, tension, romance, or suspense depending on the book’s theme. For nonfiction books such as self-help, business, Christian literature, biographies, and educational content, I focused more on clarity, authority, and professionalism in design. I was also responsible for ensuring that every book cover met publishing standards for platforms like Amazon KDP and other print-on-demand services. This included proper sizing, bleed settings, resolution quality, spine alignment, and print readiness. I made sure that every design was technically correct and visually optimized for both ebook thumbnails and full print versions. In addition to designing new covers, I also handled redesign and revamp projects.
