Shopify Email & SMS Marketing

For this project, I created a complete email and SMS marketing setup for a Shopify fashion store called Vela & Co. The store was getting customers and orders but had no proper system for following up with shoppers, recovering abandoned carts, or staying connected with previous customers. I started by mapping the store’s customer journey and identifying the main points where automated communication would be useful. I then connected the Shopify store to the marketing system and structured customer segments based on shopping activity, purchase history, and engagement. The setup included a welcome flow for new subscribers, abandoned-cart emails and SMS, browse-abandonment messages, post-purchase follow-ups, customer win-back campaigns, and promotional communication. I also organized the automation logic so customers would receive relevant messages based on their actions rather than being placed into unrelated campaigns. I configured the email and SMS workflows, reviewed the timing and triggers, tested different customer journeys, and made sure the automation worked correctly from the initial signup through post-purchase and re-engagement. The goal of this project was to demonstrate how a Shopify business can move from manually communicating with customers to having an organized retention and marketing automation system running in the background. email
