FAQ
What do you need to get started?
I need your project goal, study area or locations, available GIS data, preferred map features, and any design references. I can help review your requirements before you order.
Which GIS data formats do you accept?
I work with GeoJSON, KML, CSV coordinates, Shapefiles, and other common GIS datasets. Files requiring extensive cleaning or conversion may need an additional fee.
Can you integrate the map into my existing website?
Yes. I can prepare an embeddable map or help integrate it into a compatible HTML, JavaScript, or supported website environment. Complex integrations are quoted separately.
Will my interactive map work on mobile devices?
Yes. All packages include responsive map layouts designed for modern desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
Can you use Leaflet, Mapbox, or OpenStreetMap?
Yes. I can develop interactive maps with Leaflet or Mapbox and use suitable OpenStreetMap-based mapping data and basemaps, depending on your requirements and service terms.
Can visitors search locations and filter map data?
Yes. Basic data search and filtering are included in GeoExplore, with more advanced filtering in GeoCommand. External geocoding APIs are priced separately when required.
Will I receive the source code?
Yes. Your delivery includes the agreed HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and map data files where applicable, plus straightforward handover instructions.
Can you host and publish my WebGIS project?
GeoCommand includes one-time deployment assistance on compatible hosting. Domain registration, paid subscriptions, usage fees, and ongoing hosting management are not included.
Can I update my locations or map data later?
Yes. I can organize your map data so you can edit locations or GeoJSON files. A live administration panel or database-backed editing system requires a custom offer.
Do you develop advanced WebGIS dashboards?
Yes. GeoCommand includes a basic interactive GIS dashboard. Advanced analytics, user logins, databases, real-time GPS tracking, or complex APIs are priced after reviewing your specifications.
