What do you need from me to start?
Just your structural drawings, PDF or CAD works. And tell me where the project is so I use the right standards. Even a rough sketch is fine, send it and I'll tell you if I can work with it.
How accurate are your takeoffs?
Every item is taken off a color-marked drawing, and you get piece counts plus weights in Excel. Because I detail steel for a living, connections and misc steel don't get missed. That's usually where estimates go wrong.
What software do you use?
Bluebeam Revu for the takeoff, Excel for reports, AutoCAD for checking drawings.
Do you include bolts, base plates and connections?
Yes. Bolts, base plates, gusset plates, anchor bolts are all included as standard.
What exactly will I receive?
Excel MTO/BOQ, steel weight summary, cost estimation report, and your drawings marked up in PDF.
Can you work to US, UK or Australian standards?
Yes. I work to AISC and CSI Division 05 for US jobs, and I'll adjust to UK or Australian standards where needed.
How fast is your turnaround?
Depends on project size. Small jobs 1 to 2 days, bigger ones 3 to 5. I also offer rush delivery if you're up against a bid deadline.
Do you do rush delivery?
Yes, just mention it when you send your drawings and I'll confirm if I can hit your deadline.
