Managed and secured a SQL Server 2016 Always On failover cluster environment supporting SharePoint and numerous off-the-shelf and in-house applications for a large federal healthcare organization. Led the multi-phase database upgrade path from SQL Server 2005 through 2016, including migrating legacy Oracle databases into SQL Server. Wrote and maintained T-SQL queries, ETL processes, and PowerShell automation for indexing, backups, and routine maintenance. Applied a Master's degree in Information Security and Assurance to enforce FISMA/NIST SP 800-53 compliance, run vulnerability scans, remediate findings, and author security policy based on DISA STIG guidance. Served as site SME for T-SQL and primary point of contact with Microsoft for SQL Server issues, while also administering the underlying Windows Server 2016 systems and backup infrastructure. Currently doing SQL Server 2019 upgrading to SQL Server 2025.
