I will build a headless shopify store with a custom nextjs storefront

Informazioni su questo servizio
Your Shopify theme is slowing you down. A headless build fixes that.
I keep Shopify as your backend products, inventory, checkout, orders all stay exactly where they are and replace the storefront with a custom Next.js site.
Same admin you already know. A store that loads in under a second.
WHAT YOU GET
- Custom storefront built in Next.js and React, designed around your brand
- Products, collections, cart and checkout wired to Shopify's Storefront API
- Genuinely fast static pages, image optimisation, real Core Web Vitals scores
- Mobile-first and responsive
- SEO handled properly: metadata, structured data, sitemaps
- Deployed live to Vercel, or into your own AWS account if you'd rather
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Headless means Shopify apps that inject code into your theme (PageFly, popup and banner apps) stop working. Apps with a real API Judge.me, Yotpo, Klaviyo, Algolia carry over fine. Send me your app list and I'll tell you honestly what survives and what needs rebuilding.
I've built and run DTC stores on Shopify myself, and spent nearly three years at Amazon Web Services as a Senior Solutions Architect.
Message me before ordering and I'll tell you which package fits.

FAQ
Will my Shopify apps still work?
Some will, some won't. Apps with a real API — Judge.me, Yotpo, Klaviyo, Algolia — carry over fine. Apps that inject scripts into your theme, like PageFly or most popup and banner tools, won't. Send me your app list before ordering and I'll go through it honestly.
Do I lose my Shopify admin?
No. Shopify stays exactly as it is — products, inventory, orders, customers, discounts, reports. You run the store the same way you do today. Only the customer-facing storefront changes.
What happens to checkout?
You keep Shopify's checkout. Customers browse the new fast storefront, then hand off to Shopify to pay. PCI compliance, fraud tools and payment methods stay Shopify's responsibility rather than yours or mine.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
No. The Storefront API this is built on is available on every Shopify plan. Plus only matters if you want to customise the checkout itself, which most stores don't need.
How much faster will it actually be?
Meaningfully, but I won't quote a number before seeing your store. Most themes are held back by app scripts and unoptimised images, and removing both is where the gain comes from. You'll get a before-and-after Core Web Vitals comparison.
Can I still edit my own content?
Product content stays in Shopify, so yes. Page copy like your homepage and About page needs a CMS — included in Premium, available as an add-on otherwise. Without one, copy changes come back to me.
What does it cost to run each month?
Your existing Shopify plan, plus hosting. Vercel is around $20/month for commercial use, or a few dollars on your own AWS account. A CMS is free at the volumes most single-brand stores need.
What do you need from me to start?
Shopify admin access with a Storefront API token, your logo and brand assets, and a list of the apps you use. If there's a site whose feel you like, send that too.
Do I need a designer?
Not necessarily. I can design around your existing brand, or build to a Figma file if you have one. If you want something highly art-directed, hiring a designer alongside me will get a better result.
Who owns the code afterwards?
You do. It deploys into your own Vercel or AWS account and the repository is yours. No lock-in, no ongoing fee to me, and any developer can pick it up later.
