Financial Accounting- Checking accounting entries posted in Quickbooks, bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies, ensuring that all expenses are posted in the correct period, training junior staff on GAAPs ASC guidelines on accounting, proper record keeping of documentation after posting. Accounting for fixed assets. • Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements- Extracting all posted data and preparing consolidated profit and loss, Balance sheet and statement of cashflows at the group level and supportive notes to the financial statements. • Monthly Management Accounts- Preparation of monthly management accounts including all aspects of reporting. Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheet, Cashflows, Budget Variance Reports and Treasury and Cashflow Management Reports, Financial Ratios, Word Document Report and presentation to the Board. Preparation of standard templates for financial reporting to the board. • Financial Planning and Analysis- Reporting on financial ratios and their implication on the various subsidiaries, monitoring of budgets and investigating variances for board explanation, financial modelling and analysis, preparation of forecasted financial statements, • Cashflow Management and budget control - Monitoring of bank balances for timely payment of business loans and reporting to the directors, ensuring that there is sufficient cash for operations and petty cash monitoring. Monitoring of budgets at the subsidiaries to ensure adherence. • Team Supervision, Training and Recruitment- Supervising the inventory clerk and financial analyst on day to day duties, overseeing daily posting and periodical checking to ensure they are correct, training on various GAAP standards to the team members, mentoring the team members on quality of work to ensure high standards, setting objectives for half year review and giving constructive feedback. Assisting the Director Operations and Human Resource in recruitment of new staff in finance department.
