Hi everyone,
My name is Ali Farbodnia, and I’m a professional wind instrument player based in Istanbul. I have received formal training in Persian Ney and Armenian Duduk, and I bring over 20 years of experience playing a wide range of instruments including Turkish Clarinet, Saxophone, Bagpipe, and the Persian Setar, with a strong focus on Oriental and fusion styles.

I received the duduk tracks from Ali, and he plays beautifully with so much soul. He is also perfectly controlled and restrained where needed. He effortlessly played the melodies I sent him and delivered absolutely stunning adlibs of his own. He is super kind to work with and inspires a lot of trust. Ali Farbod is an amazing person to work with. He is very nice, polite, informs you of the traditional musical features of the instrument, and makes a great effort to deliver. Ali continues to deliver truly soulful performances. He has a deep understanding of what I'm doing in my music and gives 100% more than expected each time. I asked for ney and received ney plus balaban, because it was the right choice for the song and because he could. We will work again!
