A micro-artist specializing in entomology. I, with the microscopic observations of the beetle shells and butterfly wings by a craftsman designer, transformed the facial structures of the characters into those of insects. By integrating linen fabric, oil-based pigments, metallic powders and the cellular structures observed under a microscope, I created portrait works that combine the hardness of exoskeletons, the multiple reflections of compound eyes, and the aesthetic charm of arthropods. In the paintings, the characters are no longer mammals but arthropods that have evolved exoskeletons.
