Do you edit different kinds of children's stories and picture books?
Absolutely. From board books, to picture books, right up to middle-grade and young adult chapter books. Feel free to send me your manuscript and I'll be happy to offer a custom quote and timeline for your project.
How many rounds of editing will my story need?
Great question! Most writers only need to invest in a single round of development, but please send me your children's story or picture book, and I'll be happy to provide a clear proposal.
Do you offer copy editing, proofreading, and formatting?
As a developmental editor, I strategically maximize your ideas, style, and execution. I can also provide copy edits, but usually, the story must have undergone development first. I'm happy to refer you to technical editors for 'final polish' services like proofreading and formatting.
What file types do you accept?
When line-editing or copy-editing a story, MS Word docs are preferred. If you have a children's picture book with illustrations, PDFs might be preferable. But please feel free to reach out if you're unsure.
