I am a traditionally published Author, Editor In Cheif at a publishing house and a Novel Critique.
I've been writing (fiction in particular) from last 4 years and know the nitty-gritty details of writing technicalities.
Being too close to their work, writers fail to see the issues with their prose. They overlook not only the minor grammatical errors but, more often than not, major inconsistencies with their plot and non-linearity in their writing. Sometimes the narrative just doesn't do it, and we as writers need to know this before we put our work "out there" in front of the world.
I beta read manuscripts (as well as other writings) and provide constructive feedback on the prose, the story as a whole, potential plot-holes, and consistency issues. My feedback will include all the major aspects of story writing - plot-structure, characterisation, pacing, story build-up, narrative consistency, loose ends, plot linearity, etc.
