FAQ
Do you write or edit the content, or only design the layout?
Design and layout only, no writing or proofreading. Send your finished text in Docs, Word, or PDF and I'll build the interior around it. If the draft has structural gaps like missing headings or unclear chapter breaks, I'll flag them before I start.
My manuscript is in Word or Google Docs, not Canva. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most files I get are Word, Docs, plain text, or a rough PDF. I rebuild everything inside Canva, so none of your original formatting carries over. Already have a Canva file? Share the edit link and I'll work in it instead of starting fresh.
What do you need from me before you can start?
Your final text, images or logo at full resolution, your target format, and one or two book designs you like. For KDP, add the trim size and rough page count. Unsure on trim size or bleed? Send the details first and I'll recommend the right setup.
How long will my book take, and can you rush it?
Most interiors land in 3 to 7 days depending on page count, image volume, and how much restructuring the text needs. Rush delivery is an add-on if your launch date is fixed. I confirm a firm date before starting and flag anything that could slow it.
How many revisions do I get, and what if I spot an error after delivery?
Each package includes a set revision round for layout, spacing, color, and fonts. Typos or text swaps you catch after delivery, I fix at no extra charge. A full direction change after approval, like a new palette or layout concept, is a fresh scope.
What if Amazon KDP rejects the file you send me?
I fix it, no extra charge. Most rejections trace to unembedded fonts, a bleed setting that doesn't match your KDP choice, low-resolution images, or heavy shadows Canva exports badly. KDP errors are vague, so send the exact wording and I'll re-export.
Another designer started my Canva book and left it messy. Can you take it over?
Yes, and it's common. Share the Canva edit link and I'll review it before you order. Sometimes fixing inconsistent margins and mismatched text styles is faster than starting over, sometimes a rebuild is. I'll tell you honestly which applies here
Do I keep the editable file, or do I have to come back to you for every change?
You keep it. I hand over the Canva edit link plus exported PDFs, so the design sits in your own account and you can update text or dates anytime. A free Canva account opens it fine, and I'll note the fonts used so you can match them later.
Can I use the same file for Kindle, paperback, hardcover, or IngramSpark?
One design, different exports. Paperback and hardcover need separate margin and spine setups, built as variants of the same interior. Kindle reflows text and drops form fields, so a fillable workbook only stays fillable as a PDF. I'll set up what you need.
Am I allowed to sell a book that uses Canva Pro elements inside it?
Yes, with limits worth knowing. Canva lets you sell a finished design commercially, but you can't resell a Pro element on its own, and unedited Pro images in digital publications have a pixel cap. I build inside those rules so your file stays sellable.
