Senior counselor at a Seattle-based admissions consulting practice, specializing in pre-med and BS/MD applicants. Provide comprehensive college admissions counseling with specialized expertise in pre-med and BS/MD program pathways, guiding students through course selection, extracurricular planning, clinical and research exposure, essay development, and school list strategy. Build multi-year preparation plans for students in grades 8–12, sequencing academics, activities, and application milestones toward highly selective undergraduate and combined-degree pathways. Coach students through personal statements, supplemental essays, and scholarship and summer program writing, working from outline to final revision while keeping each student's voice intact. Run practice admissions interviews with structured feedback on content, framing, and delivery, and present to student and parent audiences on admissions strategy and testing. Meet regularly with families to track academic progress and recalibrate school lists and application strategy as student profiles develop. Support students building self-directed projects, from community health initiatives to small ventures, adding depth to their activity lists and long-term narrative.
