What languages/frameworks will I use?

For simple extension/plugin I recommend just using simple HTML/CSS/JS because they are good enough for them. However, If you want a pretty complicated and large extension using a UI library like React and TypeScript instead of JavaScript will make the extension scalable and way less prone to bugs.
