FAQ
What is the difference between ADA and WCAG?
The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) is the civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities. WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is the set of technical digital standards your site code must meet to prove it is legally ADA compliant
Can't I just use a free accessibility overlay widget?
No. Overlay widgets just slap a visual band-aid on top of your site. They do not fix underlying code errors, screen readers often hate them, and courts have ruled they do not protect businesses from accessibility lawsuits.
Will making my WordPress site accessible ruin its design?
Not at all. Most accessibility fixes happen silently under the hood within the HTML, ARIA labels, and keyboard scripts. If any visual modifications are necessary (like adjusting an unreadable font color contrast), I always match your current
How do you test the site for compliance?
I utilize a blended hybrid approach. I scan the site using professional automated tools like the Accessibility Checker plugin and WAVE to find immediate syntax bugs, followed by manual keyboard testing and live screen-reader software reviews.
Do I need to buy any premium software or licenses?
No commercial software licenses are required from your end. I perform code remediations manually inside your theme files and use standard development workflows to fix your specific compliance criteria.
Will this project improve my site's Google rankings?
Yes. Search engines utilize bots that crawl web structures almost identically to screen readers. Creating clear headers, descriptive links, image alt text, and highly semantic ARIA structures directly improves your technical SEO foundation.
