ShotByBasi Photography — Wix Website Design & Development

SHOTBYBASI • Freelance

Sep 2026 - Sep 2026 • 0 mos

Designed and developed a professional photography website for ShotByBasi, creating a polished online presence that puts the photographer’s work at the center of the visitor experience. The project involved planning the website structure, refining the visual presentation, organizing photography portfolios, and building the site on Wix with a strong focus on clarity, navigation, mobile responsiveness, and a professional client-facing experience. I approached the Wix website design around the needs of a photography business rather than relying on a generic template. The layout was structured to allow visitors to explore the photographer’s work naturally, understand the brand, and move toward making an inquiry or booking. Key work included Wix design, page structure, portfolio presentation, responsive design, typography, visual hierarchy, calls to action, and overall user experience. I also paid attention to how the website would appear across desktop and mobile devices so the photography remained the main focus without sacrificing usability. For the project, I handled the website design and development from concept through implementation, making design decisions around spacing, sections, imagery, navigation, and content presentation to create a cohesive digital presence. This project is an example of my experience with Wix website design for creative professionals and service-based brands, including projects where a strong visual portfolio and clear customer journey are essential. Services delivered: • Wix website design and development • Photography portfolio website • Custom Wix design • Responsive desktop and mobile layout • Website structure and navigation • Visual hierarchy and typography • Portfolio and image presentation • User experience improvements • Contact and inquiry-focused sections • Professional website setup The goal was not simply to build a website, but to create a digital portfolio that gives potential photography clients a clear direction

Wix Website Designer & Manager Employment

GRATEFUL HEART COMPREHENSIVE VETERAN SERVICES • Freelance

Apr 2026 - Aug 2026 • 4 mos

I serve as the Wix website designer and manager for Grateful Heart – Comprehensive Veteran Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting U.S. veterans with VA disability claims navigation and community resource connections. I built the entire site from scratch on Wix, including the Home, About Us, Our Services, Donate, Events, FAQ, and Contact pages, with a clean, trustworthy layout suited to a veteran-facing nonprofit. This is an active, ongoing relationship: I continue to handle wix website redesign requests, layout updates, and new page additions as the organization grows its programs. Every update is built around clarity and ease of navigation, since many visitors are veterans looking for direct, no-friction access to support services and donation options. From the initial wix design through ongoing wix redesign work, I've stayed hands-on with this site's evolution rather than handing it off after launch, which has let me build a real understanding of the client's mission and adjust the site as their outreach and services expand.

Wix Website Designer — 180 Fitness Retford Gym

FITNESS • Freelance

Feb 2023 - Jun 2026 • 3 yrs 4 mos

I redesigned the Wix website for 180 Fitness, a fitness gym serving the Retford community in the UK. The project focused on creating a stronger online presence for the gym while making it easier for visitors to understand the services, training environment, location, and ways to get started. The Wix Website Redesign included restructuring page sections, improving the visual hierarchy, refining calls to action, and creating a responsive experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile. I also worked on the site's content presentation and local SEO structure so the website could better communicate its Retford location and fitness services. Beyond the visual Wix Design, I approached the project from the perspective of a potential gym member: what information do they need first, what questions might stop them from contacting the gym, and how can the website guide them toward taking action? I also supported the business with digital marketing functionality, including preparation for Facebook and Instagram automation through ManyChat. This made the project more than a simple visual redesign; it became a broader improvement to the business's online customer journey. The Wix design was also developed with mobile users in mind. Fitness audiences frequently access websites from smartphones, so responsive spacing, readable content, touch-friendly layouts, and simplified navigation were important considerations throughout the project. This project reflects my ability to create Wix websites for fitness and lifestyle businesses where strong visuals need to work alongside practical conversion-focused structure. My approach to website design goes beyond making a site look modern. I focus on how the visitor experiences every section, how quickly they understand the offer, and how naturally the website guides them toward taking action.
