Completed a hands-on ML/AI internship where I built a Customer Churn Prediction and Retention Recommendation System end-to-end using the IBM Telco dataset. Worked through the complete machine learning pipeline — from data cleaning to a deployment-ready, explainable model. Highlights: Performed exploratory data analysis to uncover key churn patterns Cleaned and preprocessed data, engineering 4 custom features to boost model performance Compared multiple ML models and selected Logistic Regression based on recall priority Applied SHAP for model explainability, identifying top churn drivers Built a rule-based module that turns predictions into actionable retention recommendations Delivered a fully documented notebook, model files, visualizations, and a final report This internship strengthened my practical skills in Python, model building, explainable AI, and delivering client-ready ML outputs — skills I now apply to freelance data science and machine learning projects.
