• Coordinating with custom officials, port authorities, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for import/export shipment activities. • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to Imports. • Monitor and analyze import data to identify compliance issues and take corrective actions. • Ensuring compliance with local custom laws, regulations (like FBR regulations in Pakistan), and import policies. • Calculating and verifying custom duties, taxes, and tariffs. • Track shipment and make payments of duties and taxes on time to avoid demurrages. • Filing Goods Declarations (GDs) and processing documents through systems like the Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and WeBOC. • Handling end-to-end customs clearance procedures for import shipments. • Check categorized shipments according to a tariff coding system. • Update and check Custom Duties for all kinds of products. • Transportation, Warehousing and Distribution of Goods. • Provide an efficient interface with freight forwarders and administer all freight logistics and provide optimal level of customer services and resolve all shipment issues. • Perform all record keeping process and maintain records of all entries. • Calculation of Demurrage Charges to the Importer when he fails to take the delivery of his Consignments within the stipulated number of free days allowed (Decided by the Port Authorities).
