As a Publishing and Book Formatting Specialist, I worked closely with authors, editors, and publishing teams to turn completed manuscripts into professionally formatted books ready for publication. On a typical project, I would receive a manuscript and carefully review its structure, layout, and formatting needs. I also prepared files for publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP and other print-on-demand services, making sure they met all technical requirements before publication. One of the parts of the job I enjoyed most was working directly with authors. Many writers were publishing their first book, so I often guided them through the formatting and publishing process, answered questions, and helped them understand industry standards. I made revisions based on client feedback and worked to ensure the final product matched their vision. In addition to formatting, I reviewed manuscripts for layout issues, formatting errors, and inconsistencies that could affect the reader's experience.
