Always tries to meet you where you're at in making a lesson something to build on, and as a student of hers for a while, I would say Jodie can definitely help someone build on skills to the point of proficiency, and beyond that, so long as there's some ambition. Will try very hard to make sure you're getting guideposts on improving in some way, in a way that's encouraging without feeling like there's any pressure to fail at such. But if you have the least bit of passion for music and wanting to do it well on some level, you'd be hard pressed to find a better instructor.

Jodie is an absolutely fantastic singer and teacher as well. Working with her is such a delight, she uses the time very efficiently without making you feel rushed at all and gives great notes and homework. Would highly recommend her for anyone wanting to improve their singing from beginners to professionals.

Jodie always tries to make the most of a lesson. That sometimes needs to be different things for the sake of real progress, and while she'll always take a pressure-free approach to things, she'll also always try to make sure you're growing.
