I will be your chess coach and help you learn, whether you've never played a game in your life and don't even know the rules, or you've played for years but want to get better.
I am the author of the bestseller Chess QuickStart Guide®, a comprehensive guide available on Amazon and other distributors.
I am a native English speaker (Canadian), and have a professional video and recording setup. I conduct lessons via Skype or Discord and the Lichess Study board.
I am not a titled player. However, I am currently rated 2237 on Lichess.org and 2113 on Chess.com, which is in the top 0.1% of all active rated players on the site. I'm also an active OTB (over the board) tournament player, travelling to around 7-8 tournaments a year.
I would therefore recommend this service if you are rated under 1850 Lichess Rapid (or 1700 Lichess Blitz) or 1650 Chess.com Rapid (or 1400 Chess.com Blitz), as there should be a significant enough rating difference where I'll be able to teach you many things.
I will cover any areas of chess you'd like to focus on, but generally I've found it best to simply go over students' past games and analyze them in detail with the student.

I guess you could call me a nerd.
What many people may find boring, I find rather exciting - like spreadsheets, writing, and chess.
I can get a bit obsessed with finding a solution to a problem and therefore enjoy the challenge of solving other people's problems.
I love chess, watching Netflix and YouTube, and a good meal.

Do you offer bulk discounts for multiple lessons?
I'm afraid I no longer offer bulk discounts, sorry.
Do you work with children?
Yes, I can. While most of my students are adult improvers in their 20s-30s, I have also worked with teenagers and children as young as 10. I only ask that your child is attentive and shows an interest in the game :)
Do you offer group lessons?
Yes. In fact, I offer a 25% discount on groups of 2-3, and 50% discount on groups of 4+.
Why do you charge as much as some higher-rated coaches?
I spend an additional 45-60 minutes preparing the lesson beforehand, so my rate is essentially for close to 2-hours of my time. I am also a native English speaker residing in Canada. Some coaches from other countries may charge less, but can be difficult to understand and communicate with.
What time zone are you in?
I am located in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), typically available from 10 AM to 5 PM, UTC -8 in standard time and UTC -7 during daylight saving time.
