I've built my entire environmental consulting career at GPEC, progressing from trainee to project management across EIA/IEE, sustainability, and infrastructure consulting. I started as a Trainee Assistant Project Coordinator, supporting documentation review and project coordination. This grew into Project Report Editor & Compiling Officer, reviewing and editing EIA/IEE reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance, including the Emerald Blue Beach Resort EIA and Maldives–Sri Lanka Cable Project. As Special Project Coordinator, I managed coordination for the Maldives–Sri Lanka submarine cable landing project with Huawei Marine China and E-Marine UAE, handling technical team coordination, risk management, and contractor negotiations. I then became Project Coordinator / EIA Assessor, leading full EIAs for residential, mixed-use, and tourism developments across Colombo and Jaffna — from baseline data collection through regulatory submission. As Junior Assistant Engineer, I supported solid waste and wastewater management planning for tourism and infrastructure projects, including the Water Splash Park development in Jaffna. I currently hold two concurrent senior roles: Project Manager, EIA Assessor (Mineral Sand Mining), leading large-scale EIA/IEE processes for mining projects across Trincomalee, Mullaitivu, and Hambantota; and Project Manager, Climate Change and Sustainability, leading the EMPOWER Sustainable Aquaculture Expansion Program (Australian Aid/World Vision), integrating climate adaptation into aquaculture development in the Eastern Province. Alongside this, I've handled GPEC's creative/marketing needs since 2018 — video editing, graphic design, and social media management.
