-Provided counseling, advocacy, referrals and case management series to children and their non-offending caregivers. -Provided outreach through school presentations to children Pre-K – 5th Grade. Presentations include topics about safe/unsafe touch, sexual abuse, dating violence, bullying, healthy/unhealthy relationships, and self-care information. -Co-facilitated Camp HOPE Connecticut for children ages, 7-11. It is the first evidence-based camping and mentoring program for children exposed to trauma. The Camp HOPE model helps children overcome obstacles in a safe, supportive environment; improves self-esteem; and increases resiliency. -Facilitated a Not A #Number group for teens ages, 12-18. It is designed to teach and inspire youth with skills on how to keep themselves safe from human trafficking and exploitative situations. -Explained the legal process, including victims’ rights, to victims and their families/guardians, both verbally and in writing. -Attended court to support child and non-offending parent(s)/caregiver(s) and/or to monitor cases as needed. Provided non-offending parent(s)/caregiver(s) information about civil and criminal legal proceedings. This included in filing a restraining or civil protection order, through the civil/family court system.
