I spent 12 years learning Mandarin and still couldn't hold a conversation, only knew cold textbook phrases.
Then, in Shanghai, I fix how I learn from scratch by applying language acquisition research, learning science, and psychology.
I went on to pass HSK 6 and graduate from a Chinese-taught degree.
