Chi sono
Hi, I'm Ben, an event project manager and certified event technician from Berlin. I trained in lighting at the Konzerthaus Berlin and now plan conferences, congresses and corporate events from first quote to show day. I know both sides: what planners need and what technicians need to read. On Fiverr I help artists, speakers and event planners with technical riders, lighting concepts and tech checks before they book a rental company. Clear, fast and in plain language. Message me with your event, I usually reply within a few hours.... Continua a leggere

Event Technician

Konzerthaus Berlin • Full time

Jul 2022 - Jul 2025 • 3 yrs

My path into event technology began with training as a Media Technology Assistant. I then spent around two years at the Prime Time Theater in Berlin-Wedding, where I got to know daily theater operations from rehearsal to performance. This was followed by my three-year vocational training as a Certified Event Technician (Fachkraft für Veranstaltungstechnik) at the Konzerthaus Berlin, with a focus on lighting. The Konzerthaus on Gendarmenmarkt hosts around 500 events a year, from large orchestral concerts and chamber music to guest productions. This variety shaped me: every evening had its own schedule, its own requirements and its own people. During my training I worked in every department: lighting, sound, video and stage technology. My focus was lighting: setting up fixtures, programming lighting looks, operating the console during performances and realizing lighting concepts for the historic Great Hall. I learned to use light so that it highlights the architecture, supports the music and looks great in photos and recordings. Just as important were the processes behind the scenes: safe setup and dismantling, working in line with venue safety regulations, coordinating with artists, production management and in-house technicians, and implementing technical riders. A venue of this size only works when plans are precise and everyone works from the same run of show. Today I work as a project manager in the MICE industry, planning conferences, congresses and corporate events, from quotes and budget responsibility to technical setup, staff planning and the event day itself. I bring my experience from the Konzerthaus to every project: precise planning, a feel for light and space, and an understanding of what technicians and event planners need from each other.
