Trinidad Production Management Unit Squad Leader

Since July 2024, I have driven the technical delivery of digital production optimization solutions within the Production Management Unit (PMU) in Trinidad, focusing on analytics, software development, and model‑based surveillance across upstream gas assets. My work centers on the design, development, and deployment of production analytics tools and dashboards, enabling near‑real‑time monitoring and decision support across wells, networks, and facilities. I have delivered multiple production surveillance, forecasting, cyclic well, chemical injection, erosion/sand monitoring, and system health dashboards, significantly reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets and ad‑hoc analyses. A key contribution has been the integration of engineering workflows with Palantir Foundry, supporting scalable data ingestion, transformation, and analytics for time‑series production, well test, integrity, and equipment data. This has provided governed, reusable data foundations consumed by petroleum, process, flow assurance, rotating equipment, and ICE engineers. I operate at the intersection of petroleum engineering, data engineering, and software development, integrating outputs from tools such as MBAL, OLGA, APEX, and Artemis into decision‑ready digital products. My technical stack includes Python, PySpark, TypeScript, and Visual Basic (VBA), applied to analytics pipelines, engineering calculations, automation, and dashboard back‑ends. Through this role, I have helped embed software‑driven, data‑centric production management as a core capability supporting optimization, reliability, and production protection objectives.

Petroleum Engineer - Dynamic Wellbore Modelling

Supported the BP Trinidad and Tobago asset by utilizing dynamic wellbore modelling to improve production from liquid loaded gas wells and manage risks around initial offloading of new wells. Utilized Schlumberger’s OLGA software package to create and run dynamic models and extract results. Developed an excel tool to extract information from existing well models and create OLGA input files to speed up development of a dynamic model database. Supported the offloading of new wells on multiple platforms, delivering well over 5000 barrels of oil equivalent YTD and in 2014 helped the Trinidad asset meet and exceed its annual production target.

Petroleum Engineer - Cashima Platform

Responsible for monitoring and evaluating well performance to optimize production while ensuring that well integrity risks were appropriately managed on the Cashima Platform. Optimized cycling schedules for flowing liquid loaded wells, requiring extensive modelling work to determine standing liquid level, rates of bottomhole/wellhead pressure build up and location of water influx zones. Led efforts to perform well interventions to install water shut off plugs, achieving 75% success rate, reduced water production by 40% and recovered an extra 500 thousand barrels of oil equivalent within the first 6 months of job completion.
