My experience has taught me 4 things:
1- Posting based on intuition gets you nowhere.
2- Marketing is also sales, and sales isn’t about memorizing a script and blurting it out. It's about asking and learning about your prospects, understanding their needs and figuring out what actually drives them.
3- ALWAYS triple-check what you’re about to publish.
4- If marketing sounds like actual marketing, then it's prob not working. But if it sounds like a solution to a problem your friend is telling you, that’s when it works.
