Mechanical Production Intern
Servis Tyres • Full time
Jul 2026 - Aug 2026 • 1 mo
Gained practical exposure to tyre manufacturing processes, including ply making, calendaring, extrusion, bias cutting, tyre building, and curing. Studied tyre curing presses, moulding, vulcanization, and key process parameters. Also gained exposure to quality control through tyre inspection, defect identification, and final product approval procedures, along with HSE practices and workplace safety.
Mechanical Maintenance Intern
Cement • Full time
Jun 2026 - Jul 2026 • 1 mo
Gained hands-on industrial exposure across major cement plant operations, including raw material handling, crushing, raw and coal milling, rotary kiln and clinker production, cement grinding, automated packing, and dispatch. Also studied power generation, waste heat recovery, solar energy, maintenance planning, and mechanical workshop operations. Developed a practical understanding of cement manufacturing processes, material handling systems, industrial equipment, and plant maintenance.
Mechanical Design & QA intern
A Steel Chain • Full time
Jun 2025 - Sep 2025 • 3 mos
Worked as a Mechanical Design Intern on heavy industrial components, particularly conveyor chain assemblies used in demanding Sugar and Cement sector applications. My role involved connecting mechanical design and engineering analysis with practical manufacturing requirements. Key Contributions 1. Design & FEA Analysis: Developed and reviewed CAD models and engineering drawings for conveyor chain components. Performed stress analysis and design validation using ANSYS and SolidWorks, with a focus on load-bearing performance and identifying potential failure points. 2. Manufacturing & DFM: Gained practical experience translating designs into manufacturable components. Worked around CNC fiber laser cutting, hydraulic press operations, and robotic arm welding, developing a better understanding of tolerances, fabrication methods, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). 3. Materials & Quality: Studied material behavior through heat treatment processes including quenching and tempering. Also gained exposure to quality inspection and NDT practices used to assess component condition and manufacturing quality. 4. Production Documentation: Prepared and maintained Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and work orders to support production and ensure clear communication between design and manufacturing teams. This experience gave me a practical understanding of the complete engineering workflow—from CAD design and simulation to manufacturing, inspection, and production documentation.
