My work in genealogy is a blend of academic rigor and a deep-seated passion for historical detective work. I don't just find names; I bring forgotten stories back to life. What I Bring to Your Research: Massive Lineage Expertise: I have personally reconstructed my tree with over 400 direct-line ancestors, tracing one line all the way back to the 12th century and the era of kings. I know how to bridge gaps across centuries of fragmented history. Broad European Focus: I specialize in modern-day Germany, Poland, particularly the highly detailed Prussian Partition, as well as the Russian Partition. My expertise also strongly covers the former Austro-Hungarian Empire (Austria, Slovenia). Additionally, I conduct research in Scandinavia—while the historical patronymic surname system there poses a unique challenge, there is always a way to uncover the truth! Global Migrations: People traveled in the past just like we do today! I track the routes of Europeans who emigrated to the US and those who returned. I also use my Spanish and Portuguese to trace 19th and 20th-century emigrants to South America. Multilingual Archival Mastery: I easily navigate complex historical borders. I read old Latin entries, German handwriting (Kurrent/Sütterlin), Russian Cyrillic, and all similar Slavic languages. A Detective’s Instinct: I have a knack for complex mysteries—illegitimacy, sudden disappearances, or centuries-old legal disputes. I dig where others give up. Why Work With Me?
