Copyeditor and Content Strategist
Jan 2023 - Present • 3 yrs 7 mos
As the content strategist and lead writer for a cutting edge clean energy startup called DayDaCo, I work on building a B2B digital ecosystem for the dump truck and heavy freight industry. The company is focused on reducing carbon emissions in commercial trucking and expanding hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure across the US, with ambitions of expanding outside the country and going global. Handling all things content, I ghostwrite and edit everything from executive emails and website copy to long-form business plans, investor-facing documents, and legal correspondence. The job is to take a big, complex, genuinely world-changing vision and make it land clearly and powerfully on the page. From shaping brand voice guidelines to writing and editing high-stakes strategic documents, the goal is making sure every word this company puts out sounds sharp, credible, and human.
Creator and Founder
Jan 2020 - Present • 6 yrs 7 mos
As the creator and founder of Adventures in Calthumbria, a medieval sci-fi fantasy multimedia series, I oversee every stage of production from concept to finished product. Think of The Canterbury Tales meets The Midnight Gospel — strange, funny, deeply human, and built for an audience that wants something they've never seen or heard before. Since 2020, I have written three full manuscripts, produced and sound designed two complete seasons totaling eleven episodes, and illustrated the series in a hand-painted and digital watercolor style. Episodes one and two are fully mastered and illustrated in animatic sequence, with a YouTube release and live show strategy already in place. Leading a cross-functional creative team of voice actors, musicians, animators, and sound designers, I manage the full production pipeline while maintaining a consistent creative vision across every medium the project touches — audio, visual, written, and live performance. The project has required mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud and Reaper.fm, as well as skills in project management, brand development, content strategy, and audience building. Building something from nothing over six years, with no studio and no budget, is the best proof of what I can do with just a vision and a deadline.
Journalist/ Staff Writer
May 2018 - Jun 2021 • 3 yrs 1 mo
As a staff writer and journalist for Broke-Ass Stuart, an independent news and culture platform covering the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York, I wrote long-form features and investigative pieces for a large public readership with a distinct voice and a sharp eye for detail. My work covered a wide range of subjects — community arts, live music, cultural movements, and social issues — requiring strong research skills, source interviews, and the ability to translate complex topics into compelling, readable stories. One of my most impactful pieces led directly to the disbanding of a major national yoga organization after my investigative reporting on misconduct allegations spread to larger outlets and sparked a wider public conversation. That story required sensitivity, accuracy, and the courage to publish something that mattered. Other features included profiles of grassroots artists and musicians, coverage of Bay Area performance culture, and stories about communities finding creative ways to connect and survive. Whether the subject was lighthearted or serious, the goal was always the same — write something true, write it well, and make people want to read it to the end.
